Think you may be pregnant? You don't have to walk through this alone. No matter your test results or life situation, we are here with you as you process your full range of questions and emotions relating to your pregnancy. We believe in taking a personal approach and giving you all the time you need in a safe and non-judgmental space. You are welcome and encouraged to bring a support person with you to these appointments. These appointments usually run for about 45 minutes.

Personal consultation
To help you process your decision, we start every appointment with a detailed nursing assessment. Each client will be offered a urine pregnancy test, and a blood test may be offered to help in your decision process. Urine test results are available in as little as 5 minutes, blood tests can take 24-48 hours to be processed.

Treatment options
If your initial urine pregnancy test is negative, we suggest a follow-up in a week for confirmation, considering it might be too early for accurate results. Alternatively, we can refer you to our Nurse Midwife for a comprehensive gynecological evaluation. If the test is positive, we'll discuss all available pregnancy options, including a referral to a local OB/GYN or proceeding with our in-house care. Choosing in-house care allows us to determine eligibility for an ultrasound based on your last menstrual period (LMP) or a blood level HCG. This care is available until the early second trimester.

Follow-up
Care
Whatever decision you make about your pregnancy no one should ever feel alone. Your Nurse will maintain a personal relationship with you throughout your pregnancy. Our standard care approach is to call clients after their first OB visit, at 20 weeks, and then after delivery. The care plan, however, is up to you. You and your Nurse will develop a follow-up plan that fits your needs.
